Cassis Market & Cafe – Authentic French Pastries, Coffee & More in St. Petersburg, FL

I have no idea how people gave this place lower ratings. The baked goods at this spot are out of this world. The croissants are perfectly layered and baked to perfection. The service may be a bit slow sometimes when there is a huge line, but that is to be expected when there is only one or two people working. Always great food and coffee. The only negative note I could possibly make about the place is the atmosphere. They only have a bar seating at the window, and outdoor seating. In Florida summer, that is not ideal, but not unlike most people in the area.

Amazing pastries, croissants every bit as good as in paris (no joke) amd they're bogo in the evenings. Staff are lovely. Its so lovely to have a proper European cafe in st pete. Slow down, catch your breath, st pete is a chill place. You want fast? Go to McDonald's. You want amazing and local? Hit the cassis market.

Great pastries and lattes. Clean and bright inside. Outside there are small tables with great people watching. Don’t get a hot drink if you’re in a hurry. The service was pleasant enough but If they moved any slower they would be going backwards.

Claudia, our waitress was simply awesome! She was so friendly, professional, patient and went out of her way to make our visit pleasant. As we were celebrating a very early birthday, at midnight, actually, she even sang us the birthday song all by herself. She is beautiful and worthwhile asking for next time you visit this restaurant. We sat outside and enjoyed our birthday celebration. Including the complementary dessert, thanks to Claudia. See pics. The recommended grilled chicken salad was terrific though I seldom eat salads in restaurants. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant, including the restrooms were very clean.

This is a great “take out l” cafe with the offerings of a decadent French bistro due to the full service upscale restaurant next door. There are luscious desserts like gelato, macaroons, handmade chocolates and pastries. They offer fresh made orange juice and many types of croissants. They also offer pizza and sandwiches. Hand crafted espresso drinks and many bottled beverages as well. If you are looking for a deal, they have BOGO croissants after 4 and BoGO pizza slices late night.

I love this cute café! Right in the heart of Downtown, you get a pretty view of the pier, and of the town! The pastries are delicious and of great quality. The staff are super timely and kind. There are always several meal options- from cold / hot sandwiches / grilled cheese, to cheese and egg croissants, and some sweet pastries. Nothing but positive experiences when I come to visit Cassis!

Nice cafe with coffee drinks, pastries and delicious thin crust pizza. The slices are quite large. I had the Hawaiian with pineapple and ham. It was crispy and very good. I’ve had their plain pizza recently and it is very good. Window seating and tables and umbrellas outside. Metered parking. Recommend this excellent cafe for coffee, deserts and great pizza.
